Needle felting: Ollie the Owl
Posted on | November 11, 2012 | 3 Comments
My sister flew back to Michigan this afternoon & I decided to start a little project to ward off the 'my family just left' blues! My friend Taryn once told me how easy needle felting is so I finally got a little needle felting kit at a local store (Down to Earth - my fav) and felted away! I made this little guy in less than an hour, with Hazel awake that whole time as well. He's not perfect but I think it's cute, and most importantly H likes him!

| She couldn't wait to finish her beets & yogurt (a odd fav of hers) to play with him! |
I may have to do this more often! Do any of you felt out there? If so, what's your favorite project to a make? I'm dying to make some more (so far knitting has been a very slow endeavor for me, boohoo).

It came out super cute! I have needle felted before, but only onto already-knit things. I haven't made any stand-alone creatures. That owl is just too cute!

Your Ollie The Owl is SO cute!!! And how fun to make a little friend for Hazel. I'm so glad you're enjoying needlefelting. :)
Love,
Taryn
P.S. I LOVE Down To Earth!! Whenever I walk in there, I feel so inspired.

What a cute owl. I have wanted to needle felt for a long time, I just need to get some needles.
My husband gave me crap a while back about having too many hobbies so I have felt bad about getting started on this .....
Have made a few wet felting projects, but not with needles.
I have seen so many cute things on etsy. Ilove the mama baby art here:http://www.etsy.com/shop/haddy2dogs?ref=seller_info
