Right now I am...
Overwhelmed with balancing life - work, new job, house projects, budgeting, family
Thankful for my healthy girl, always
Feeling like I need to write
Waiting on a birth I have an inkling may happen tonight
Wishing my dear B & I were connecting more
Digging music
Wondering if I'll ever get my girls nap and bedtime right
Inspired by the new floor & paint in our entryway
Finding solace in nature
I always think of the Simon & Garfunkel song titled 'Kathy's Song' on a rainy day. Sad yet lovely lyrics.
I hear the drizzle of the rainLike a memory it fallsSoft and warm continuingTapping on my roof and walls
And from the shelter of my mindThrough the window of my eyesI gaze beyond the rainy streetsTo England where my heart lies
My mind's distracted and diffusedMy thoughts are many miles awayThey lie with you when you're asleepAnd kiss you when you start your day
And a song I was writing is left undoneI don't know why I spend my timeWriting songs I can't believeWith words that tear and strain to rhyme
And so you see I have come to doubtAll that I once held as trueI stand alone without beliefsThe only truth I know is you
