DPP: December 1

Well friends, it's that time of year again - time for the December Photo Project. This fun project captures an ordinary photograph each day for the first 25 days of December, and will be my third year participating. I actually forgot about this little tradition until I was driving home from a tree lighting ceremony tonight. Click the link below to find out a little more about this project and sign up yourself!

And alas I'll leave you with a photo I took tonight via cellphone (like I said, I forgot about this!) at a local holiday festival. Not the most interesting photo but Hazel was making her 'yuck' face & yelling "pee pee appy!" at the reindeer as it pee'd on it's apple. My classy girl!

"Eeeees!"

The first thing Hazel does each morning is roll over, sit up, and point out the window (even if there is just a sliver of light coming in, since we keep the drapes closed at night). She then excitedly squeals while pointing at the pine trees outside our bedroom, usually clapping. Next I change her diaper and she just stares out the window while smiling & whisps "eees" while pointing up to the maple and pine above her bedroom window. It. Is. To. Die. For. I'm not sure what it is, but this kid is in love with trees and the sky lately. She is such a joy filled soul.

That being said, I cannot wait to see the look on her face tomorrow - we are taking a much needed trip to the redwoods to visit friends & celebrate my birthday (May 3rd). I am so ready & think that it's perfect timing for our family, we've sort of been running ourselves ragged lately as you likely noticed in my previous post. I hope to update shortly after we get back, perhaps Monday or Tuesday.
