Happy Halloween!

Happy Halloween friends! We decided to do an Italian themed Halloween, since Italy is still fresh on our minds. Hazel got her shirt in Venice, and our masks were handmade in Venice as well. I think I'll dress her in that adorable outfit everyday, seriously.

I hope your holiday was safe and wonderful. I plan to update more soon - finally fixed my mac's memory problems as of today, hooray!

Costume partaaay!

We had our first halloween bash on Thursday. I was pretty nervous going into it: waaaay more people rsvp'd than I expected, all with multiple kids, & I wasn't sure our house would accommodate that many people (especially if it rained). Fortunately the weather was clear & less people showed up than I expected... so it was a very stress free night for me, surprisingly!

My hubby has a nerdy passion for Star Wars, so after much thought we decided to play some of the best characters. A friend of mine knitted Hazel the Yoda hat - so so so kind!

Two of our best friends dressed up as characters from 'The Labyrinth' - the Goblin King, Hoggle, and baby Toby. Pretty sure these were the more EPIC photos of the night - agreed?

Another family dressed up as a zombie cheer squad, they looked amazing! Sadly Hazel frowned and started crying whenever she saw Art, the dad in the photo below.

It was interesting how quickly the night went, but I suppose that is to be expected when mostly families of school age children show up. Brad and I were dumbfounded when everyone was gone at 9 pm & it looked like a tornado went through the house (we've previously only had adult parties, where it goes until at least 11!). But that's the life with a baby, huh?
