Gratitude Sunday

Gratitute Sunday
Sunday's heartfelt tradition. A time to slow down, to reflect, to be grateful. A list of gratitudes:
- Spending a day up in the mountains with just us three. We swam, fly fished, and had lunch riverside with not a soul in sight for miles. It was a welcome relief from these hot summer days Oregon has suddenly graced us with.
- Hazel is getting closer and closer to crawling everyday, it is pure joy seeing her take it just a little bit further everyday.
- A phone call from my sister, and her opening up to me about her life right now. It felt so good, her being completely honest and open with me. I want those phone calls to happen more often.
- Reading. I've been reading a couple different books lately, one a parenting book another one for my pleasure. For some reason reading novels has been so difficult for me since Hazel was born, but I finally got some on a nook and I've been catching up on my reading while H nurses & sleeps. It's special me time, which I don't often do.
- Being asked to write a guest post over at Mad Passions, I am so excited. It's scheduled to be posted at the end of this month.
- Getting together with another like-minded mama today and her 4.5 month old daughter. It was only the second time we've met, yet we had a great time chatting, walking 5(!) dogs, and the girls seemed to love grabbing and chomping on one another.
- A happy, content child. Hazel has always been on the happy side, but the last few days she has been exceptionally thrilled to be alive! The house has been filled with her singing, yelling, and laughing, and jumping.
- My husband working a double shift tonight so he can have the evening off tomorrow with us. We have plans to have our friends shoot some 6 month photos of Hazel, and it means so much to me he is working overtime to be there.
- New books for Hazel. I got two in particular I LOVE, 'the day you were born' & 'little blue truck.' They are both such fun reads, 'the day you were born' made me cry even. Such a sap. ;)
- Working slowly on updating my blog. I added a button that you can link to my blog, if you feel up to it (see the right column). I will gladly advertise your blog on mine, aka swap buttons! So fun.
What have you been grateful for this week?
