My Gratitudes

Gratitute Sunday
A heartfelt tradition. A time to slow down, to reflect, to be grateful. A list of gratitudes:

- A sunny weekend admist a week full of rain, rain, and more rain! When will I ever get used to these Pacific Northwest late springs?
- A healthy, happy child. There isn't a minute of the way that I'm not counting my blessings for such a wonderful and healthy baby! She is smiling all of the time these days, and growing like a weed (14+ lbs last week!).
- A catch up with our friends Taryn and Jeff & Bracken (my Gratitude Sunday inspiration!) at Saturday Market this weekend. I received a gorgeous sign from them for my garden, & I'm beyond thrilled (more eggs to come, guys!).
- A beautiful trip to the Northern California Redwoods two weeks ago - it was soul refreshing, to say the least! Hazel was in absolute awe of the giant trees. When we first pulled in the park her mouth went agape as she stared up and out the window. Love my little forest baby.
- Printing out some photos of H and our little family and putting them around the house. There is just something about putting new/different photos up & around the house that is rejuvenating!
- Working out, even if it was just one day this week. ;)
- A hard working husband! He's working more hours than ever so that I can be part time and be home more. <3 him!
- Finally getting my garden up and running! I had a slight massacre involving my chickens and some delicious romaine. You can fill in the blanks!
- Speaking of garden & husband, B built a fantastic deer and chicken-proof fence around my raised beds (hence my garden being up & running!). Thank you thank you thank you!
- Naps. They certainly are wonderful, aren't they?
- Phone calls with my mother. She always seems to call when I'm JUST thinking of her.
- Kitty love!
- A good career. I applied for a job at the local birthing center I delivered at, but fear I can't take the job due to the schedules and demands of the job with an infant at home. I'm a bit sad about this, but need to count my blessings that my current job is great!
- Hazel sleeping in until 8-8:30 more often this week. Her usual wake up is about 7 am so these few days have been beautiful!
- New music, always fantastic!

Welcomed our daughter Hazel Annan earthside in February 2012 after three years of infertility & our second miracle daughter Juniper Louise in April 2014.

Hardworking husbands.. so grateful!
Maybe the other job you are wanting will happen at another time, who knows?

P.S. I forgot to say that I love the new sidebar month-by-month pictures of Hazel. So sweet. I'm loving watching her grow.
