Holidays

cyclical, she returns
a theme all too common
these days.
she still begs me
to spend money
and strain my
south paw,
just like last year.
& here we are,
still posing in front
of the tree
with dogs instead
of babies.
this is only
getting
harder.
please tell me how to not lose myself in this process?

you won't lose yourself because you have family and friends who love you and who are here for you (even though I seem to really suck at it lately) sorry :(
we really need some catch up time. I know I keep saying it and don't follow through.. but please know it's not because I don't want to. it's just.. well you know. we're both going through something really hard and really different right now. and I know we need each other.
I wish we lived closer. seeing you in person would be so much better.
My parents keep asking me what I want for Christmas. I almost told them to buy me a plane ticket to go see you :)
