Gratitude Sun... Err, Monday!

Gratitute Sunday (or Monday, this time!)

A heartfelt tradition. A time to slow down, to reflect, to be grateful. A list of gratitudes:
{Inspired by the beautiful Taryn of Wooly Moss Roots}

  • Lovely Hazel has discovered day vs. night this week.  She sleeps well from about 9 pm until 8 am, of course waking anywhere from 2-4 hours for short feeds.  Because of this she is awake a majority of the day, with only short naps (hence the reason I'm such a loser blogger as of late!).  But oh how I love how well she is sleeping!  We call her our little chicken - she sleeps and wakes based on the sun and moon, just like our chicks!
  • Baby smiles.  Need I explain?
  • Friends (mentioned in a previous Gratitude Sunday) that we experienced pregnancy and new parenthood with!  They had the same due date as us, and their little girl was born 4 days after ours.  It has been such a blessing to have others around experiencing the same things as us.  The other night we played a game of poker, babies at the table and all.
  • My fantastic hubby who manages to be back at work full time and still take care of his daughter and this household with such ease!  This morning took Hazel downstairs after she ate and let me continue sleeping.  I woke up nearly 2 hours later, 10 am!  (I used to think that was early, ha!).  Thank you my love!
  • The ergo baby carrier.  Anytime miss Hazy is overly fussy I stick her in it and do some chores or take a walk outside (we did quite a few trecks up and down our long driveway this afternoon!).  Within a minute she quiets down, and within about 5-10 minutes she is asleep.  Below is a picture of her today.
  • Chamomile tea.  Not only for myself, but I started using some as baby wipe solution (wipes were causing redness and rashes, she has such sensitive skin like her mama!).  Within a day her bum looked so nice!
  • Snow.  Yes, it's a bit late but we've gotten snow at least half a dozen times since March.  That was the first snow we had seen all winter!  Of course it doesn't last, but that just makes me appreciate it more.
  • Accepting, loving animals.  I have been struggling with the frustration/extra work all of our animals cause.  But just looking at the photo below makes me smile.
  • Books; children's books in particular.  I've been revisiting old books from my childhood, trying to read Hazel a story every night.  I love it.
  • Music.  Ahh, music.
  • Wonderful photos as seen in my previous post, a letter.  I will forever cherish them!
  • And as always, each and every one of my readers and blog friends out there.

Miss Hazel has the most beautiful head of hair. Life looks so peaceful over there (even though I'm sure you're tired!) and I hope it continues!

    Hi April!!

    Love reading your gratitudes!!

I love all the pictures. The one of you two at the top is so sweet! And I am so amazed at how smiley Hazel is already, what a love.

Help from husbands is the best. I don't know what I would do without all the things Jeff does every day.

And I can't sing enough praises for the ergo!!

I didn't blog much for awhile after Bracken was born. Being a mama requires all the time and energy we have sometimes, huh? :)

Hazel is so beautiful. Thanks for sharing pictures of her, I love to see!!

    Love, Taryn
