Gratitute Sunday
Sunday's heartfelt tradition. A time to slow down, to reflect, to be grateful. A list of gratitudes:
- A fantastic weekend on the coast celebrating our fourth year anniversary. We went to the beach, hiked, met some great friends, and went to the aqaurium. Expect a post on this trip very soon!
- Four happy and healthy years of marriage to my best friend!
- My cat being safe & sound after accidentally being left out for three days - I hugged him so hard when he came home.
- Hazel learning how to crawl! She spent all morning on the 11th trying until she got it in the afternoon! Below is a video - I had been eating cheese and crackers and she was trying to get my cracker box. From this point on she's been a crawling fool!
- Progress being made on my knitting skills. The first few days I learned I kept dropping (& adding) stitches, making hilarious uneven projects. I'm officially knitting a scarf now, and it's straight (hah)!
- My friend Taryn's magical healing salve. I had a spider bite this week and it worked wonders (also works wonders on Hazel's bum if needed). I highly recommend it. I've also been using her 'relieving salve' for aches and pains and I feel like it's helping my back. You guys rock, Taryn & Jeff!
- Moody Blues. I love their music & always get nostalgic listening to it.
- Days off from work which is helping my back heal.
- My husband helping me realize when I was getting a bit testy yesterday. For some reason I've been feeling very hormonal lately, and I often don't realize if I'm being crabby to someone. I'd rather be called out on my crabbiness because it led to a resolution of why I was crabby in the first place (the missing cat, in this case).
- Hand me down clothes for Hazel. She's already fitting in most 9 month clothes!
- Hazel watching as I point at things. That's something new this week - it's so simple yet such a wonderful thing to see her figure out.
- A hilarious game of truth or dare with another couple at our beach rental. I made a prank phone call that made us laugh so hard our cheeks hurt. I hadn't played that game (or pranked anyone) since I was a teen, it was so fun. Seeing my husband jump in the cold ocean in nothing but undies was pretty epic too!

Looks like you had a great weekend. I hope your feeling better now that you had some ocean time!
The ocean really helps me to revitalize my spirit, as does standing near a waterfall...so cleansing...ahh.
Nature is the best medicine :)
