Projects

I was just recently telling a friend how my blogging has taken a backseat to mothering this little soul we've made.  She fabulously responded that she too did that, and that's the way it should be.  It took the pressure off, simply put.  Thank you Taryn!

That said, I will give a quick update!  Hazel will be 10 weeks old on Wednesday.  She was nearly 11 lbs at her doctors appointment last week, and 22+ inches long.  She's just starting to give us little hints of a giggle, just another thing to light my day!  We've been busying ourselves with housework, yardwork, and of course little projects involving H.  One of my favorites so far was making butterfly footprints that I'm going to send to both grandmothers, and keep two for us.  B just finished a fun play toy with local wood, and he attached knick-knacks we received as gifts for her to hit and look up at.  She adores it (not nearly as much as she loves looking at trees, like mentioned in a previous post).

The one below is a combination of her and her friend Sawyers footprint!

Also, I finally updated my banner for this blog (I love it!).  It's amazing how long it takes me to get the smallest tasks done these days.  My poor gardens outside are just begging to be spruced up to plant in, among the many other projects jumbling around in my head.

So tell me blog friends - does it get any easier to manage time?

Ahh! I also made footprint art, but they were nowhere near as pretty as yours!! I'll have to post a picture to compare, so that you'll believe me.

As for managing time... the only thing that's being managed around these parts is ME, by Clara. (And I wouldn't have it any other way!) But seriously, I find it so much harder to sit down and blog, even though I have oodles and oodles of photos to share...

P.S. (In response to your question on my blog) I use picnik.com to add text to my photos. The site is closing down in a few days, though. :( I am REALLY bummed out and will be on the lookout for a suitable alternative. I'll let you know what I find!

I so know what you mean about having no time i am having a hard time finding any time for myself now that i am a mama of 3. My children are all at different stages and it seems I am always doing stuff for someone else...then it is midnight..
Oh well, it is so worth it. I have been meaning to make little footprints...better do it before too long. I love yours so cute!

Aww.. I feel so special being mentioned on your blog! I mentioned you guys in my Gratitude Sunday post, we loved meeting Hazel so much!
I love the butterfly prints! So sweet. And I love your new banner!!

    Love to you!

P.S. I saw your comment about nettles. I hadn't even heard of nettles till we moved to Oregon. We dry it for tea and soup. We saute it and put it in eggs. We throw it in soups. We steam it. We juice it. It's the best!
